John 15:4

‘Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.’

– Consistently staying connected to God brings fruit into our lives.
– It is in the connection that we can enjoy the flow of life from God to us.
– His life, flowing through us, makes all the difference.
– Don’t try to do it on your own, abide in Him, from Him comes life.

Prayer: Lord, thank You that I can live a life in which I am connected with You each and every day. I recognise that I need You in my life and so I choose to abide and remain connected to You. Amen.

Haggai 1:8 ‘Go up … and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, says the LORD.’ – Oftentimes life calls for action and deliberate steps. – We cannot always be passive and just wait for things to fall into our laps. – We need to step forward, under God’s direction, and do what honours Him. – We can be a part of something bigger than ourselves when we do what pleases God. Prayer: Lord, I ask that You would give me the courage and the strength to step forward and begin to build. I choose to do what honours and pleases You. Show me the way I should go so that You can be glorified. Amen.
