Haggai 1:8‘Go up … and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, says the LORD.’– Oftentimes life calls for action and deliberate steps.– We cannot always be passive and just wait for things to fall into our laps.– We need to step forward, under God’s direction, and do what honours Him.– We can be a part of something bigger than ourselves when we do what pleases God.Prayer: Lord, I ask that You would give me the courage and the strength to step forward and begin to build. I choose to do what honours and pleases You. Show me the way I should go so that You can be glorified. Amen.
Joshua 23:10
‘Each one of you will put to flight a thousand of the enemy, for the LORD your God fights for you, just as He has promised.’
– The Lord can give you victory over challenges far greater than you.
– Your strength does not come from your own ability, but from Him.
– God is faithful, and He will do what He has promised.
– Trust Him with your battles and depend on His strength.
Prayer: Lord, thank You that I do not have to face my battles in my own strength. Help me to depend on You, trust Your promises, and believe that You are working on my behalf. Amen.
Isaiah 48:17 NIV
‘I am the LORD your God, Who teaches you what is best for you, Who directs you in the way you should go.’
– The Lord knows what is best for you.
– His guidance is always for your benefit and ultimate good.
– He sees what you cannot see and knows what lies ahead.
– Trust His direction and allow Him to lead you in the way you should go.
Prayer: Lord, thank You that You know what is best for me. Teach me, guide me, and help me to trust Your direction for my life. Amen.
Psalm 27:5
‘For in the day of trouble He will keep me safe in His dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of His sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.’
– The reality is that we all face adversity at some time or another.
– You may be facing distress, danger, emotional or mental challenges.
– But in all these things you can be sure of God’s presence and deliverance.
– HE has a position of safety and stability for you, out of reach from enemies.
Prayer: Lord, thank You that You keep me safe. You hide me under Your shelter and You lift me up and secure me into the safety of Your arms. Give me an elevated perspective so that I can see beyond the immediate troubles and focus on Your eternal promises. Amen.
